ANTIGUA VOLCANIC COFFEE

Las Nubes is a high altitude plantation that grows coffee between 1,550 to over 1,900 meters. Las Nubes is located south of all the other farms, closer to the incoming humidity from the Pacific coast, thus its name, Las Nubes (meaning Clouds in English).

The view from the higher areas of Las Nubes provides a spectacular sight over the Pacific Ocean and its coast. As a result of its higher humidity, the coffee beans of Las Nubes ripen earlier than the other plantations. It also has a coarse and volcanic soil influenced by its proximity to the craters of the Acatenango and Fuego volcanoes.
